Notice of Executing Sustainability Linked Loan

FUJI OIL CO., LTD. (Head Office: Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Tatsuji Omori) announces that its consolidated subsidiary, FUJIOIL ASIA PTE. LTD. (Head Office: Singapore; Managing Director: Katsuhiro Nagayama), has entered into  a Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), Singapore Branch as part of its efforts toward realizing a sustainable society.

 

1. Loan Overview

• Contract Date: October 10, 2025
• Loan Execution Date: October 31, 2025（tentative）
• Loan Amount: USD 15 million
• Sustainability Coordinator^*1: SMBC Singapore Branch

2. Features of the Sustainability Linked Loan

A Sustainability Linked Loan is structured to align with the borrower’s sustainability strategy by setting Sustainability Performance Targets (SPTs). Loan terms vary depending on the achievement of these targets. This loan complies with the Sustainability Linked Loan Principles (SLLP) established by international financial industry bodies such as the Loan Market Association (LMA).

 

3. Established SPTs

This loan includes multiple sustainability indicators aligned with the group’s sustainability strategy. Loan conditions will vary based on the achievement of these indicators. Specifically, it reflects measurable efforts such as improving environmental scores from international rating agencies and strengthening sustainable raw material procurement systems to address environmental and social issues.

  

4. Future Initiatives

The Fuji Oil Group has identified ESG materiality issues to work toward a sustainable food future. Through this loan, the group will promote these initiatives and continue addressing social challenges through its business activities.

*1: An institution that supports the borrower in setting SPTs and structuring/designing the Sustainability Linked Loan.
