The Kobe plant of Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. received the Kobe City award for its distinguished environmental activities. The awards were organized by Kobe City to recognize individuals, groups and organizations for their outstanding achievements in the construction of a low carbon and recycling-oriented society in harmony with nature and the conservation of a healthy and comfortable environment. The awards are given to individuals, groups and organizations who have been contributing to 6 activities such as the prevention of global warming and environment beautification activities for about 10 years.

Every year since it concluded an environmental conservation agreement with Kobe City in 1996, Kobe plant has disclosed the report of its environmental conservation activities and its plans for the following year. This time, it has been valued for its continuous environmental conservation activities such as cleaning up around the plant, reducing industrial waste and the quantity of water supply and drainage, and energy saving activities including converting to LED lighting.

In the future as well, the Fuji Oil Group is committed to further promotion of environment-friendly activities, in order to achieve sustainable growth with society.
