Fuji Oil participated in the World Food and Beverage Great Expo (FABEX) 2017 (the 20th FABEX 2017 and the 14th Dessert Sweets & Bakery Festival) held at Tokyo Big Sight over the period April 12 – 14. During its run, the show attracted more than 77,000 visitors and was a resounding success.

Fuji Oil’s participation came in the wake of receipt of an award for its Mame Plus M in the 20th contest for hot-selling professional use food products held by the Japan Food Journal, which also organizes FABEX. We are pursuing companywide approaches aimed at heightening recognition of USS products under the “Soy-Italian” concept.

At FABEX, guests were invited to sample our Lasagna and Tiratisu. The Lasagna was based on an idea at the popular restaurant Hatake Aoyama. It is made with Mame Plus M, MAME-MAGE Block, and KO-CREAM. Tiratisu is made with MAME-MAGE mou and KO-CREAM Whip. The booth visitors were amazed at the delicious flavor and variety of new ingredients derived from soy milk. Many also said they wanted to use them in meals for people who have allergies or prefer natural ingredients. The products were given high marks by visitors looking for foods that were both delicious and healthy. In the future as well, we are determined to make even more people attracted to our products.

This was the 20th holding of FABEX, which is one of the largest exhibition of commercial food products in Japan and spans the categories of deli items, boxed lunches, home meal replacements, restaurant dining, catering, and food distribution (it is organized by the Japan Food Journal). The Dessert Sweets & Bakery Festival brings together trends in confectionery, dessert, and beverage products and ingredients under one roof. It was held for the 14th time, and was co-hosted by the Journal and the All Japan Confectionery Association.
