The Fuji Oil Group has been actively working to reduce the consumption of electricity, gas, and other energy sources in our production operations by introducing cogeneration systems and other measures. Looking at the performance of all Group companies in Japan, including Fuji Oil, in fiscal 2009, total energy consumption and CO2 emissions increased by 0.7% and 1.1% respectively over the previous year. On a per unit production basis as well, energy consumption increased by 0.9% and CO2 emissions by 1.3%. We will continue to promote further energy saving and greenhouse gas reductions.
